Child obesity is an unfortunately serious issue in the United States. Obesity among children is at its highest point in history, and is still trending upward. In order to find a cure for this disease, we must know what causes it. Television advertising, with it's mass appeal and susceptibility, is a great place to start. A research question to further investigate this. So it is asked, "what is the correlation between childhood obesity and the amount of TV advertising viewed, for children between the ages of 5-12?" Through extensive online research, the answer to this question will be found. While correlation does not prove causation, finding a possible link to childhood obesity is better than leaving it in the dark.
